My Personal Testimony

Before I came to Jesus, I din't know that I could talk to God and have a real relationship with him.

I remember wanting to know God better, but just didn't know how to get to know him.

A friend invited me to a Bible study where I saw for the first time how people talked to God like He was really there, like they had a relationship with Him that was close and personal. I wanted that for myself. I cried out to the Lord and said, "I don't know what they have, but I want it." At a retreat, the Lord revealed Himself to me, and my soul knew that I was a sinner, that Jesus forgave me, and that it meant my whole life was His. I was saved.

Since that moment, I have had a relationship with God like I had never had before. I know that I live my life with Him, and not apart from Him.

Now when I have a problem, a worry, or just something I'm excited about, I simply share my heart with God and He hears me. I can ask for Him to help me with my kids, or with my marriage, instead of feeling hopeless. He speaks to me through His Spirit and through the Bible.

The sweetest part about my faith, is that because His Spirit is in me, I have the assurance that I will be with Him in heaven when I die. I know He is preparing a place for me. His Spirit speaks to my spirit.
