My Personal Testimony
I pray to the Lord daily about giving me an opportunity to live on his earth and to bring his word to others.
I am grateful that I have eternal life because of the inner peace it brings me. I know that God is always with me and that I can trust in God's plan for me.
I remember driving down the freeway in rush hour traffic many years ago. Traffic was going faster than speed limit when I noticed someone merging onto the freeway. I had another lane to my left, so I began to pull into it when I noticed the vehicle that was merging had gone behind me and was going into that same left lane. I pulled hard on the steering wheel to put myself back in the middle lane when I heard screeching tires and thought, oh someone is in trouble. Next thing I realize is it is my vehicle, now facing into traffic in a spin. I literally saw the colors on the plaid shirt of the man the car that was about to hit me. I remember thinking; "this is it Lord, please be with me." I don't know what happened next. I felt lifted up above my car for some time. Then, was back in my car, sitting in the median between the two freeways, going east and west. There was no reasonable explanation that my car was not damaged and I was okay, but somewhat stunned. It seemed as if the hand of God lifted up my car and myself and placed us safely in the median. Several people pulled over to see if I was okay and seemed similarly shocked by the situation. Someone drove my car out from the ditch and pointed me back in the direction to get back on the freeway. I sat there praying to the Lord for several minutes. Then, these 3 boys in a VW convertible with their rafts in back slowed down in fast lane to "let me in". Oh Lordy, I just wanted to wait for the traffic to lighten up before going home, but now I was afraid there could be a wreck as they waited on me to pull out. Needless to say, I got to the slowest lane and drove like a little old lady until I could exit the freeway and drive home on side streets. I just kept thanking God for keeping me safe.
The same peace God gave me in that situation is now with me every day and I know His grace will guide me through my days.
