my personal testimony

I was raised in a christian home. And so I had to go to church every Sunday with my grandmother. I don't quite remember at what point I gave my life to Christ but i remembered i got baptized in January 1993 and received the gift of the holy spirit also. I have always felt the call of God on my heart. Jesus really captured my heart and i felt true genuine love. then i made up my mind to follow Him. I knew I was a sinner in need of a savior. after i was baptized and received the gift of the Holy spirit at age 16. the night i received the gift of the Holy Spirit I felt so much love in my soul. I have never felt so loved in all my life...and still haven't to this day. i now feel i have purpose and God is going to use me and he sure did. I know He loves me and is with me. i started hungering for His presence and His word. And I also began to have a love for people and a desire to help others. the same year i got baptized i almost died. i was held up by gun men. i thought they were going to kill me. it was horrifying seeing a gun and a knife held to my body. Somehow God brought me through the weeks following that event. and even today when i remember it , I have peace in my heart that could only come from God. He caused me to forget a lot of things that would just devastate me. God has opened many doors of ministry opportunities. He used me to help his people, pray for them, and preach hi word to them. my relationship with Christ is the best thing that has happened to me. i'm enjoying this freedom. he walks and talks with me and i know i belong to Him. he has given me the assurance of salvation and my desire now is to do His will and help in the saving of souls for his kingdom.

My desire to be active in church ministry grew and the tendency to sin decreased. I felt Gods grace and mercy.

yes i know for sure that i have eternal life with Jesus Christ. I have the assurance of salvation and im so grateful.
