My personal testimony

I'm very glad that I have the relationship with God that I was created for because He gives my life hope and purpose.

When I was a young child, my parents chose to divorce. For many years I had no idea how deeply this affected me. When you're young you are susceptible to believing all sorts of different lies from the enemy. I believed the lie that I was somehow flawed and not wanted. Growing up I always felt this deep need to prove that I was just as good as everyone else. I became a people pleaser. I longed for the approval and acceptance of others. When I chose to follow Christ Jesus as Lord, I have learned, and continue to learn, that I am loved and accepted unconditionally by almighty God. He is my Father and He loves me and gives my life purpose.

I know and completely trust that Jesus has saved me. My faith grows stronger the more I spend time with God getting to know Him through the Bible and obeying Him. I now know that God has a plan for my life. He has given my life purpose. My God-given job is to help people know Jesus and grow in Jesus so they can help others do the same. Through His completed work on the cross - His death, burial, and resurrection, I know that I now have a perfect relationship with God. I trust God's promise in the Bible that because of Jesus I will be with God forever!
