My Personal Testimony (Hospital)

I am glad I have eternal life because it provides me a sense of peace of security when confronted with death and worldly obstacles.

About two years ago, I developed an infection in my cervical spine (neck). The infection began causing weakness in my arms which forced my doctor to immediately admit me to a hospital. I was in the hospital for over a week as they ran numerous tests and I met with multiple specialists. No one was able to identify what the infection was, but the possible outcomes ranged from natural fusion of discs to permanent paralysis to unknown portions of my body. Throughout all the consultations, I had a peace and a calm knowing that, regardless of whatever worldly obstacles I may face due to this circumstance, I had eternal life in Heaven through my faith and trust in Jesus Christ. As I was set to be released from the hospital, I required intravenous (IV) medication at home. There was a hurdle with the insurance company in that they were not going to approve the medication by the time I needed it. This would create a significant complication in my treatment. My wife and I went home not knowing the next steps. That day, God spoke to me through a chapter in Psalms He predetermined for me to read on that specific date through my yearly Bible study. I read the chapter, prayed for provision, and within five minutes, the phone rang and it was my insurance adjuster who told me any and all medication for my treatment was approved. Today, I have made a full recovery with no side effects other than minor soreness. This was a significant personal worldly obstacle, but I found peace and security throughout it through my faith in eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The same peace and security I experienced throughout that scenario is the same peace and security I am blessed with every day in knowing I will spend eternity in Heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.
