My Personal Testamony:

I received Christ as an adolescent, I really didn't have any "major problems", I was just disconnected from God... Years later I realize that that's the greatest problem of all.

I had been in or around church all of my life. My dad is a very strong Christian and we went to church every time the doors were open. I knew most all of the Bible stories by the time I started school. When I was seven years old I went to the front of our church with several other friends and prayed a prayer with my aunt. My dad was ecstatic, and often speaks of that day when he is teaching his Sunday school class... It wasn't until several years later, as an adolescent, I was laying in my bed one night and the Holy Spirit came to me and showed me (with over-powering conviction) that I needed a savior. "What?, I thought that I had already taken care of this", but I had never felt like this before, so as I prayed that night, I asked Jesus to become my savior. Since that night I have truly experienced a relationship with my Lord... Everything that we truly believe is based on evidence of some kind. The Bible and the gentle nudges of the Holy Spirit have been the evidence to me that I know I will spend eternity with Christ.

Since that night I have experienced the leadership of the Holy Spirit in my life many times.

Now after many years of walking with my savior, I know with all assurance that he is always with me and never leaves my side.

There have been many times when I faced seemingly insurmountable odds, times when I knew that I needed God's intervention... He has never failed!

Though the testing and trials of this life have always been accompanied by Christ, and looking back, I see that Romans 8:28 is always true, the word of God (Bible) is my greatest evidence and confidence that some day I will spend eternity with him.
