My personal story
Living for others is truly a joyful experience. There will always be those who doubt your motives, but remembering that God has called us to help others will give you peace and the inspiration to continue to bless others in whatever way you feel led to do.
I have significant peace knowing that while I may be misunderstood sometimes by others, it is a comfort that God knows my heart, intentions, and motives, and in this I find joy.
I really enjoy doing things for others and sometimes people don't understand why someone simply enjoys giving selflessly. I have been accused of having ulterior motives when I'm simply trying to love and live for others like the Bible instructs us too. I have been brought to tears when my motives have been questioned; it just is incomprehensible to me that some people cannot grasp the concept some people really do enjoy giving and showering others with love. Relationships have been restored when people have realized my motives were and are pure. I just don't understand why more love isn't being spread amongst Christians.
We know that all things work for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28) and in the most difficult situations, I have prayed and really just gave it to God; He has ALWAYS come through and situations always work themselves out one way or another. I have such abundant peace when I purposefully and intentionally seek God out. There was a time in my life -- a very dark time--where I rejected God and everything I knew to be true and right. I was so lost and miserable. When I finally relinquished my will and sought Him out, words cannot describe the jubilee and peace I felt. This is the life I want. A life with Christ; I will never go back.
