My Personal Story

Before I received eternal life I had many fears and worries and I felt lonely.

I remember a time when I was less than 3, maybe 2 years old. I fell off the top of a school slide. I was unconscious and hospitalized. My dad came to visit me and brought me a stuffed animal he won at the fair that was in town. I distinctly remember I stood up in my crib and cried with fear when I saw the stuffed animal. It frightened me. I stretched my arms out to my dad and begged him to hold me.

I have lived with fear, worry and loneliness for much of my life until I truly understood what forgiveness and eternal life with Jesus meant, that it was a free gift, and all I needed to do was accept His forgiveness and trust in the resurrected and living Christ for eternal life.

Now that I have chosen to trust in Jesus and His promise that He will never leave me or forsake me, I no longer live in fear and worry.

The loneliness I felt is diminishing day by day as my relationship with God grows closer as well as my friendships with other believers.

John 6:47 says “Verily, verily I say onto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” I know for certain I have eternal life with Jesus and if I were to breathe my last breath right now, my next breath would be in heaven looking Jesus face to face.
