My Personal Story
Facing the death of a loved one can stir up so many ill feelings and struggles in our minds regarding God. He is SOVEREIGN and has the perfect timing of calling His saints home.
I am happy I have the free gift of eternal life giving me full assurance of going to heaven one day.
I recall feeling angry, mad at God for the death of my father. He died when I was 5 yr. old leaving a wife with 5 children. In many occasions I felt he took away an integral part of my family. I would compare myself with my classmates who had their fathers and feel jealous and sad in my heart. God used my mother to instill in myself and my siblings the love of God for us in sending His son to die on a cross for each one of us. As I recall ,I did not accept the free gift until later ,at the age of 10-11 at an invitational from the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Panama City, Panama.
After all the struggles in my mind regarding the love of God. He gave me peace in my heart of His Sovereignty and control of all including His calling ,of His saints , to heaven . I have that same peace today of my assurance of eternal life in heaven with Christ because He paid the penalty for my sins and purchased a place in heaven for me.
