My Life Forever Changed

I was lonely, afraid and had no purpose in my life. Why was I here and what difference would it make anyway?

As a teen there was so much pressure, fear and yes, even anxiety. I knew there had to be something else because what I was doing wasn't working.

I was invited by some friends to go to church with them. Sure, what else was I going to do? I made friends, and they all seemed to have something that I didn't have. Wasn't sure what it was but they were different, not perfect, just different.

I listened to others who had this something. I found out it was Jesus. I accepted Him and my life changed. There was some peace I had not had, purpose, and now a sense of belonging. This belonging was not just with new friends, that was nice, but friends with Jesus! It was life changing for me.

I went with a group of friends to an event, and I heard a speaker talk about how to stand up for Jesus, he explained it so simply. I stood up with many others and I prayed to aske Jesus to forgive me of my sin, my past, my failures, to change me. HE DID!

I can't explain it even now, but I know I have peace, purpose, and meaning. I have this confidence of who I am in Jesus now and that when I die, I will be with Him for eternity. This is what I was created for!
