My Journey to Eternity

As an adult there was always something missing in my life. I had a desire to know about God but the struggles of life, work, kids and marriage always took first place. But underneath all of this was the sin I had buried and needed to own.

Growing up my mother took us to church and I went to private school until the fifth grade. Knowing of God and His expectations stayed with me, but as a young adult I made decisions that, I know, did not please Him. These sins weighed heavy on my heart. I was troubled by guilt, shame, and regrets of what my life was.

It wasn't till a old friend who started to share Christ's love did I realize what had been missing. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and the grace of God, his forgiveness washed me from my sins.

I once had guilt and shame, now I have forgiveness. I now know I am valued by my God and I am grateful for a second chance having a redeemed life.

Over much time and getting to know my heavenly Father my faith is strong. I know that although I may fail, God will never fail me and I will be with Him in heaven in His time.
