My Battle With Anger

Before I received eternal life and a relationship with Jesus, I was full of anger and bitterness.

I found I would blow up at almost anything. It was so hard to hold my tongue in some situations! I would hold grudges against others and steer clear of those who I perceived had hurt me.

Then I discovered Christ; and when I accepted Him into my life and accepted what He did for me on the cross, my life changed!

Now that I have eternal life and a relationship with Christ, I am no longer full of anger!

In fact, the Lord through accountability, prayer, and developing self-control helped rid me even of my awful habit of blowing up on others. Even if I feel those feelings start to well up, He has freed me from speaking before I think! And more than anything, He has helped me forgive and let go perceived wrongs right away! Even someone I considered my enemy I prayed for and forgave. Now we are friends! He gives me the opportunity to see past the anger and instead fills me with joy, peace, and compassion for others—even if they lash out at me.

Better than all of this, now I know I have a relationship with God and that I will live forever with Him in eternity after I die!
