My baptism testimony
I was bullied, called many names that made me want to end my life but God turned my life around and shaped it to be better and want to live.
Growing up, I didn’t live in a Christian household, and my life was really hard. When I was little, I was taken away from my parents because of drugs and went to live with my grandparents. It was one of the most confusing and painful times of my life. I didn’t really know what church or God was, and I tried to handle everything on my own, often feeling lost and alone. When I was in elementary school, the grandma I lived with was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She has been sick ever since, but she is still fighting, and her strength has inspired me. Starting sixth grade, everything changed. I went to a new school and was scared to make friends. Instead of feeling welcomed, I was bullied, which hurt more than I knew how to explain. I became depressed and felt alone most of the time. That same year, my grandpa passed away from lung and colon cancer, and losing him made everything even harder. In seventh grade, I transferred schools hoping for a fresh start, but I was bullied there too. Around that time, I began seeing a psychiatrist, and it was the first time I received real support for my mental health. I slowly started learning that it was okay to ask for help. Freshman year of high school was very stressful. I was already carrying so much emotionally. After that year, my other grandpa passed away during the summer. Losing him hurt deeply, and I struggled to cope in healthy ways. During that time, I felt God urging me to stop, and I listened. That’s when I started going to church every Sunday. In sophomore year, I continued battling anxiety and depression and began seeing a therapist, which helped me process the pain I had been holding inside. Before my junior year, my other grandma passed away from cancer, which was another heavy loss. I also moved schools and was no longer able to continue therapy. Today, I am being baptized because I know without a doubt that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Through every hardship and loss, He has been with me, even when I didn’t realize it. I want to follow Him with all my heart, trusting His love to guide my future. I am choosing to walk in hope, peace, and faith, leaving the past behind and living fully for Him every day.
I remember being bullied and treated like no one want me here, I questioned why I was born and why I am here
Then I discovered God, I discovered that he made me for a reason, he loves me and chose me to be his. He sent his son to die on the cross so I can have salvation and be forgiven
Now, I am a believer and I want to live in him fully. I want to thank him for choosing me and calling me his own, and helping me through all the pain and struggles in my life.
One day, I struggled and felt like I wasn’t good enough for God, I felt like I had to be perfect, I had to do everything right to have a relationship with him!
Today, I am being baptized because I know without a doubt that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I want to follow Him with all my heart, trusting His love to guide me. I am stepping into the life He has promised, embracing hope, peace, and joy, and leaving the past behind. I am choosing to live fully for Him, today and every day.
