Michele's personal testimony
God loved me even when i could not love myself and that He is always there even when you are not living the life that He wants for you.
I grew up in a single parent home that was filled with a lot of emptiness and i grew up with a very low self esteem that eventually lead me to have an drug addiction, and after my children's father committed suicide and i moved back to California i delved further into my addictions and it wasn't until my life finally hit rock bottom and i went to live in a shelter that i was able to have the power to change my life. That has been nine years ago.
i remember eight years ago when me and a friend was out running the streets and we were out dumpster diving to see what we can come up with to make money for our drugs, i remember looking at my friend and asking her if she was tired of living her life like this. I remember telling her that i was tired and done of living my life like this, and i told here straight up that this is the last time i would be doing anything and within in two days i was at the Gospel Center rescue Mission in Stockton California. And within in a week i was in there drug program. I give all the glory to God my Savior!
In the drug program at the Mission i learned again how the Grace of God could love a person like me and that no matter what i have done I am his Child and that all i have to do is ask for forgiveness of my sins and believe. And i am saved.
Today i have graduated from college and i work at Raymus house where i can help women who have walked down the same path as i did and show them the grace and love of God and if i can change by His grace they can too.
Even though I have been clean and sober over nine years i still have tough times and no matter how hard it gets I know that God will see me and my family through whatever it is.
I know the plans i have for you, this is the statement that has spoken to me the most because ever since i have been saved it a;ways His will i go by not mine.
Your testimony matters too
