Matthew 10:16 says "I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." I am a sheep with the armor of God and the saving grace of Jesus.

Before coming to Christ, I believed that I had control of my life. Nothing was off limits. I did as I pleased without regard to a higher power than myself.

I was picked on my whole young life. I wore glasses, really thick glasses. I was always sordof nerdy, and had trouble making friends. In the seventh grade I got contact lenses, and my life changed overnight. People who never looked twice at me were now speaking to me, and wanting to know me. It was great. however, It led to a path of self destruction, and turned me into the very person I did not want to be. A bully. I picked on people who looked weird, or talked funny, or if they dressed poorly. I was a JERK. It cost me a year of my life. All my goofing off, and being cool landed me right back in the eighth grade for a second time.

Coming to know Christ was very gradual for me. I fought it for years. I was saved when I was eleven, but still clueless. I went on doing whatever I wanted. He finally got through to me one night as I was singing my son to sleep. I was shown that my life was not my own. I had to straighten up and lead my family in a Biblical way.

Now that I know who Jesus is, and am assured that He loves me, fear does not have the grip on me it once did. I have become a better man because He teaches me how to be through the Holy Bible. I'm not perfect by any stretch, but better than I was.

I believe God has been saving me all my life. I almost died at birth, almost got burned severely a couple of times, and had an ATV wreck that should have killed me. Other events took place that could have ended my life, but God protected me. I believe He has a purpose for my life. Jesus took on my sin and protected me so that I can live with Him eternally. It is my job to show others that they too can be saved from death and Hell, which is what we all deserve because of sin.

Our enemy will try to fool us, so I don't rely on my understanding. I rely on my faith. God has shown me He IS REAL and He can do all things. When I die, I will be with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit forever in heaven.
