Learning to Love

I am glad I have eternal life because I get to experience God's unconditional love for me here on earth and also someday in Heaven.

In college I dated someone very seriously and when we broke up, I felt lost and very sad. I was hoping that we would get married and get to go through life together. Instead, he told me he didn't feel loved by me and decided to break it off. After this I had to wrestle with my own self worth, and face a lot of pain knowing my ex didn't feel loved by me. But God has stepped into my life and shown me his unconditional love for me and helped me see that I do have worth because He loves me no matter what. He has provided good friends for me who help me see my value and has allowed me to keep trying to love other people despite what my ex boyfriend told me. Sometimes when other people don't see me as valuable I have to not take their opinion as true about who I am, and I can find a lot of satisfaction and peace knowing that the God who made me and everything around me thinks I'm worth loving.

The truth that God loves me unconditionally, every single day, gives me a lot of peace and I am glad I get to experience his love forever.
