Keep me and I shall be kept!

I'm glad I have eternal life because I know God gives me the desire and power to change.

I remember getting a phone call from one of my college friends inviting me to come to his dorm room. I didn't know why he invited me, and he had never called me before, but then it became clear to me what he was after because he started making sexual advances over the phone. Then I knew exactly why he wanted me to come over. I could feel the pressure to go, but I decided not to. It wasn't until after a few days that I learned that both of them had become very sick and had to withdraw from school.

It was God that kept me from going to that dorm room back then, and it's God that keeps me from going anywhere near that type of lifestyle today. Every day I say to God, "keep me and I shall be kept," and He does.
