JESUS SAVED ME FROM SELF-DESTRUCTION

Before receiving Jesus I felt empty, unloved and rejected. As a result I suffered from low self-esteem.

I had no knowledge of what love felt like. having been raised by my grandmother, she could only offer her grandchildren the little love that she could. My father passed away when I was very young and my mother became an alcoholic as a result of my father's passing. I grew up not knowing the love of my parents though my mother tried her best to show me love when she was around and before her situation deteriorated. I sought love and validation from wrong people.

When I came to Christ in 1996 I felt the love that I lacked and so needed. I was accepted, loved, cleansed, healed and restored. I began to understand and came to the full knowledge of God's love for me. I was saved from self-destruction. I've been blessed with abundant life here on earth and life eternal thereafter.

I've experienced and continue to experiemce the love of God.

When I understood that God loves me, I began to love myself, flaws and all. I began to forgive myself for choosing the wrong path because of my previous circumstances, I forgave those who hurt me intentionally and unintentionally. I'm now fulfilled in who I am in Christ and loving the relationship I have with my God.

A life without the Lord Jesus Christ is a life that leads to destruction here on earth and leads to hell when one dies. When I made Jesus the Lord of my life, I was cleansed from my sins, given life to the full and given eternal life because of the blood of Jesus that cleansed me. I'm going to heaven when I die because Jesus who is Lord is the way the truth and the life and no one goes to the Father (heaven) except through Him.
