Jesus rescues Johnny

As a tween, the fear of death really started hitting me… I knew that I was going to hell, and wasn’t even sure why.

On many nights, I was alone in my room crying and praying, confused.

In my mind, I kind of already knew the answer, but was still full doubt, but eventually, it finally sank in what it really meant to receive eternal life.

Now I know I am saved from the punishment I feared, because I trust what the Bible says about it and what Jesus says.

Since then I have been and continue to be in dangerous situations with potentially violent people, and have had my life threatened. I may still feel scared of physical pain or bodily destruction, but I have a strange sense of peace knowing that the worst thing anyone can do to me is send me home to heaven where I’m now a citizen.

Now I am excited to see what his plans are for me after this body dies! And to live the life that Christ has for me right now, wherever that takes me.
