Jesus healed my soul

Even though I have been a Jesus follower for more than 50 years life hasn't always easy. I had a pretty decent childhood growing up in New Zealand with four brothers, but our inside family life was not ideal. It was marred with alcohol and conflict and I became a timid, background person who stayed in the shadows...yet in my mind I had dreams.

Love, happy marriage, and children were on my expectation horizon. Imagine my confusion when my world was turned upside down with disappointment, hurt and depression due to infertility, rejection and divorce.

But I have to tell you, knowing Jesus as my Savior was a game changer!

Good Friday 2021 was my introduction to the world of cancer! Because of Jesus the date of this diagnosis replaced my fears with courage. With the isolation of Covid, and my chemotherapy treatments this one verse in the Bible gave me hope and anticipation for my future. Psalm 103:1-5 says...Bless the Lord O my soul, and all that is within me...all my cells, aberrant and healthy...bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget none of his benefits. Who forgives all your iniquity and heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. Who satisfies your life with goodness so that you youth is renewed like the eagles.

Even as I am enjoying my life with Jesus now, His Word and His presence have given me a knowing in my soul that I will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

My soul is the healthiest it has ever been and it feels so good! I am so grateful that He has called me His daughter and His bride. I can hardly wait to see Him in glory!
