Jesus died for me
Salvation is the greatest gift
Before I was saved, I went to church occasionally with my grandmother. I had been healed by God due to being born deaf, but as the years went on, God really didn't affect my life greatly. I was already baptized at ten years of age, but my parents never went to church. I knew Jesus died for my sins since I was seven, but I was a thief, I struggled with lust, I had a habit of cursing and being inappropriate. At 16, feeling the need to be clean and Holy, I wanted to be baptized again. I was told that I could rededicate my life to Christ, but I finally found out God's grace is what saves me.
I grew tired of my lifestyle and realized that I needed the Lord's help. I failed over and over, but it took good mentors and friends and trials to help me see I am not the sum of my bad choices. I no longer had to live in my failures, I could rise again.
In October 2010, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I trusted in Him. I believed that He not only died for my past sins, but He died for my present and future sins and He no longer remembers them. I have learned to that by His grace and with His Spirit living in me, I can live the Christian life. I no longer have to grow frustrated, but I can rest in Him and that's what I will continue to do until He calls me home.
Since I have been saved, I can admit not everyday is great, but it's wonderful to know that the Lord will always be with us and He never leaves or forsakes us.
I have found this out many times in my life and time and time again, He always restored my joy.
I know that I am forgiven and I have eternal life and eternal security because I have trusted in Him.
