I've seen hell, now I accept Gods sacrifice for me.
I was born in the light, walked into darkness and was saved by Faith and Faith in God alone.
Before I received eternal life in Jesus Christ I led a life in constant pursuit of pleasure in all forms that I saw real evidence of evil and knew then that the power of God was good and I had to seek it through his son Jesus Christ.
I was deep into drugs, sex and alcohol and the idea of being accepted at all costs. I would have done anything to be "cool" even be extreme to stand out of the group. There came a point where my body was wrecked, my mind was broken and relationships were falling apart. An angel came to me through God and spoke to me to move and find another path. To listen and take heed that this way would end up getting me killed and hurt the ones I love. So, I took up by clothes and left everything behind and learned to walk in his path little by little and today I am here to tell the story.
Then I sought out people who I could share this with, those that would be open minded and kind and share with me their journey and talk about the case for God. Through changing my associations I have found a new way of life and completely overhauled my lifestyle. Now it's a life in Jesus Christ. I had to forgive my past self and through that I found peace.
Now I am active in my church and learning how to mirror Gods light and living in my true values.
I believe that there's a reason why we stray from the path and that is to learn why God has given such a sacrifice. Seeing the worst in others and ourselves lets us understand what "good" actually is. Seeing people die around me and submit to suffering and pain on a consistent basis, then lifting myself up to faith in God and seeing the light is proof that all things are possible through Him.
I know that we are all always sinners, God gave his only son to atone for my sins. My faith in him and him alone is what has saved me. Through this confirmation and clarity I am able to receive everlasting life.
