I have found everlasting life, ‘Zoe’ the God kind of Life
My Personal Testimony I grew up in a Christian home and my father used to take us to church every Sunday. I always knew that there is a God out there but I never really had a personal encounter with Him. It wasn’t until my first year at the University of Cape Town when I was attending His people church in 2003 that I actually felt something nudging my heart during an alter call and I went and received Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. It was a shift from attending church as a religious activity to having a daily walk with God. I got water baptized the same year and publicly declared that Jesus is my Lord and savior. I also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit which helped illuminate the word to me as I read the Bible the scripture became alive. My faith was ignited and I believed God for the supernatural things that he promised in his word and I have experienced supernatural healing through praying for myself and many other miracles. I have seen God work through me to touch peoples lives in the most extraordinary way and I feel so blessed to be a conduit for Him to use. I’ve seen people receive salvation through my sharing my testimonies and the Holy Spirit working on their hearts. I can say without any doubt that God is good and I have seen His goodness in my life and in the lives of many others. God is so real and to live life without God is a total waste. Before I had a personal encounter with God and received eternal life, I lived with no purpose and church was just a religious duty.
I used to attend church just for the sake of attending but my life was empty and void. I didn’t know where I was going and why I was here on earth or even who I was as a person.
During my first year of university at His People church in Cape Town at the Baxter theatre, during the alter call I had a nudging in my heart that I couldn’t deny. It was a personal encounter where I knew that I knew that God was speaking to me and wanted me to receive Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
After Jesus entering into my heart it was like a light bulb just went on. It was a completely whole new life. I knew that god had a purpose and a plan for my life and my identity is found in Him. I was also water baptized and spirit baptized and the word of God became so alive when I read it, I believe in the supernatural God and experience the supernatural lifestyle daily. In God I love and move and have my being.
One day during my holiday in Sri Lanka, I was riding an elephant and when I got to the hotel I noticed that I had a rash on my thighs. I prayed a simple and short prayer and the rash disappeared in front of my eyes. That was the healing power of God at work. The greatest miracles I have experienced is when I share my story with people and they also decide to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior. All for God’s glory.
I know that I know that I know that God is real and that when I die I will be with Him as the scripture says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I experience God’s goodness in my life every single day. I’m so grateful for Jesus Christ and His grace.
