I found what I was looking for.

I'm glad to be a Christian for several reasons. Primarily, having a real relationship with God almighty, to actually know Him, to walk in relationship with Him daily and personnel growth that naturally comes from knowing Him. He has answers for all of life's problems and questions. His presence in times of pain or confusion or doubts is very real. He reveals more of Himself as I press into Him through His means of grace, like bible reading and study, Corporate worship with Gods people, prayer, sacraments (baptism, Lords supper),

I remember a time when I was asking myself , What is life all about? I was 25 years old and working as a lifeguard on Ft. Lauderdale beach. I was really searching in my mind and thoughts. I was approached by a uncle I hadn't seen in quite awhile. He invited me to the "green house", a outreach of Coral Ridge Presbyterian church. I sat in a class taught by a intelligent Lady who spoke on God as creator. Wow, God the Holy Spirit open my eyes that night. I don't remember every thing that was said. But made Himself known to me that night. I knew he was real and I knew iI needed a savior.That night I found out what life is all about.

I am confident that I have eternal life because of Gods promises to me in the Bible and there are many. John 6: 37 - 40 is one example. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the on who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day! So it is Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit that keeps me or preserves me as a Christian. Thanks be to God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
