How Jesus filled my life with love and joy

Before I accepted Christ into my life, I didn't have a clear focus for my life and nothing really satisfied me.

I first accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 20, but didn't move forward with that relationship until I was 24 and started attending a local church. I became disillusioned and left that church and didn't return to a daily walk with God, the Word and Holy Spirit until 2010. While I was involved in shaping young lives as a teacher and school administrator during that time without Christ, life felt empty like something was missing.

Since I returned to God, walking with the Holy Spirit and reading the Bible daily, my life is fuller. I have a sense of completeness and satisfaction. Christ invites us to drink from the waters of life, eternal life, which quenches that emptiness we all feel until Christ becomes part of you daily life. I now have purpose and satisfaction.

My relationship with Jesus is assuring and comforting. I now want to share that satisfaction (love) with everyone I meet.

Four years ago when I returned to church and God, I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to "Be still!" After thirty years as a school administrator trying to solve the problems of public education, I needed to recharge and listen to the Holy Spirit and the Word for what God had in store for me. Now, I know in my heart that my retirement from education is not a retirement from life and sharing God's plan with others still struggling to find peace and satisfaction in their lives. I love this new work that began when I stepped into eternal life. It begins here in the current world and will take me until the new world replaces sin and suffering.

I am reassured to know that I have eternal life in Christ Jesus and He has done the work for me. There is nothing I could have done to move out of sin into the light. He has saved my soul. Amen...
