How I received the promice of eternal life.

Growing up in the 60's, I was confused about religion and I felt such emptiness , I had worries about the possibility of being sent to Vietnam and being killed.

I remember my uncle made me go to church with him and I observed how he and his friends were so happy to be in church. I wanted to feel what they felt.I wanted to be involved with the music since I was a musician.

I answered an alter call after many Sundays of resisting the call from God. Pete Thompson lead me to accept Christ as my personal savior.

I now had the peaceful feeling of joy like my friends and had the assurance of eternal life.

One December day on the way home from work I was hit by a drunk driver and was inflicted with a spinal injury. During the emergency room and treatment that followed I was at peace and had no fear about the fact I might Die. I recovered and was able to walk again!

I now know that Jesus saved me. I know that when I die I will be able to enter heaven and be with him forever!
