How God Saved Me
Despite my failures, God has transformed me into a new creation. I was a slave to my sinful passions, yet Christ has broken this bondage.
Before I received eternal life, I was a slave to my sin.
I had realized that lust had gotten a hold of my life, and I was not living my life for Christ. I had seen my biological father live a life as a slave to addiction, I did not want to remain chained to my desires.
I received eternal life, and I began to live with a purpose. Early in my Christian walk, however, I had some struggles with sinful desires, yet by the power of Christ I was able to put that sin to death. During this time in my life I began to focus on spiritual growth and began to passionately pursue Christ.
Now that I have eternal life, I am no longer a slave to sin, and through Christ I am set free from the bondage of my sinful desires.
The forgiveness and mercy of Christ has given me a peace and revived sense of joy in life.
If I were to die, I know I would be in heaven with my Savior. God gives me a peace only He can give.
