Hope in a Time of Loss

I am grateful I have eternal life because even when I experience hardship or loss, I know God has a plan for me and a purpose for my life. This gives me peace and hope in the midst of trouble.

When my husband and I found out that I was pregnant, we were filled with joy and excitement for the future. However, as my pregnancy progressed, I had the sense that something was not right. We went in for an ultrasound and found out that the pregnancy was ectopic. We lost the child, and I had to go in for rather major surgery. The sense of loss was profound, and I could not understand why this had happened to us. However, through it all, I was able to see how God provided for us, and even in the moments of greatest pain, I had confidence that God could use even this for His glory. I know my baby is in the presence of God now, and that gives me an incredible amount of comfort and peace.

I am so grateful to know that because of what Christ has done for me, I will also be in His presence one day, able to glorify God alongside my child.
