His love is enough, His grace is sufficient
Since accepting Christ, I have a greater peace, comfort and joy in my life. He is continually teaching me and growing me more and more.
Before I received eternal life through Jesus, my life was full of anger, lonliness and depression.
My parents went through an ugly divorce when I was very young. The aftermath of which was extremely devestating for me. It left me very angry, very hurt and feeling very alone. I grew up bottling up all my emotions, afraid to share anything with anyone. I was so broken - I didn't know how to let people love me, let alone care about anyone else. I closed myself off to everyone and everything - I felt safer that way and no one could hurt me.
It wasn't until college when I met a couple friends that really made me understand that I was loved by God. At first I fought them....hard. I didn't want any bit of thier care, their joy or their comfort. But they kept loving me anyway. Eventually I let them. They were truly the key to me accepting Jesus into my heart. They made me believe that they truly cared for me and the reason was because of Jesus. I wanted that. I wanted to be loved and I wanted to be able to love other people. The summer before my junior year of college, I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord of my life.
When I accepted Christ as my Savior, my life completely changed.
God began working immediately. I experienced so many new things - authentic relationships, redemption in my family situations, growth of my faith and understanding of what God's will was for my life. I was able to go on missions trips where I discovered my passion for leadership, I went to grad school and now I am working for a church that I love. Since accepting Christ, I have a greater peace, comfort and joy in my life. He is continually teaching me and growing me more and more.
His unconditional love has sparked a fire in my heart and I know that God is always with me. God has truly blessed me since I began submitting my life to Him and I am forever grateful for the transformation of my heart.
