Held by God’s Love

The Positive Difference Jesus Has Made in My Life There was a time in my life when I lived with constant worry and emptiness. I carried fear inside me, especially the fear of death. When my mother became very sick and was expected not to survive, I felt hopeless. But after she was healed, she began to teach me about the goodness of God, and I started to understand Him more. Years later, in 2021, I was diagnosed with Covid-19 together with my boss. We both became unconscious. Sadly, my boss did not make it, and the doctors also thought I would not survive. I couldn’t open my eyes or speak, but I could hear people praying and worshipping God around me. In that dark moment, I silently asked God to forgive me. I felt like I was in a lonely, empty place until I suddenly saw a bright light. That light filled me with hope and joy, and soon after, I woke up. From that experience, I realised the positive difference Jesus has made in my life: I no longer live in constant fear or emptiness. Instead, I have peace, knowing that I am loved and cared for by God. My outlook on life has changed, I see challenges differently now because I know I am never alone. The greatest benefit of knowing Jesus is that I no longer fear death. I have confidence that when my time comes, I will be at peace, knowing my true home is with Him. Because of Jesus, I live with hope, peace, and purpose.

In June 2021, I was diagnosed with Covid-19 together with my boss. We both became unconscious, and sadly, my boss did not survive. The doctors and even my company thought I wouldn’t make it either. Every attempt to take me to the ICU failed. During that time, I couldn’t speak or open my eyes, but I could hear voices around me. People were praying, crying, and worshipping God on my behalf. Inside, I felt trapped in complete darkness. It was lonely and frightening. I silently prayed, asking God to forgive me for my sins, because I truly thought my life was ending. Then, something happened. In the middle of that silence, I suddenly saw a bright light moving toward me. The darkness disappeared, and everything was filled with brightness. That light gave me joy, comfort, and a deep peace I had never felt before. Soon after, I opened my eyes. That experience changed me completely. I realised that Jesus is not only real but also with me in my darkest moments. The constant fear I used to live with especially the fear of death was replaced with peace. Now I know that my life is in God’s hands, and even death no longer scares me because I trust that my true home is with Him.

Because of what Jesus has done in my life, I no longer live in fear of death. I know with certainty that when my time on earth is over, my home will be in heaven with Him. This gives me peace every day, knowing I am loved, forgiven, and secure in God’s hands.
