Heartbeats for God

I am grateful to have eternal life through Christ Jesus. Because of this I know that as long as my heart beats I have a purpose in this life to serve the Lord by loving others.

My cousin past away at an early age of 16 due to a rare heart condition, this gave me anxiety about my own heart beat and the fear of hearing it stop. I couldn't listen to my own heartbeat for years, until one day while resting in the lords word with the bible rested on top of my chest I could hear my heartbeat underneath it. The Lord comforted me saying, "As long as you hear this heartbeat I have a plan and a purpose for your life." I was amazed at how the Lord took my anxiety and turned it into a powerful reminder that my life matters and he has a plan for me while I am on this earth and when one day it does stop it means I get to be with the Lord I love, forever and ever, knowing I've accomplished all he has planned for me.

Now when I hear my heartbeat I am reminded of the sacrifice the Lord has made for me and his continued plans to use me for his Kingdom to spread the message of his love to those around me, how blessed am I to be saved and have a purpose for the rest of my life.
