Hard Times Lead to Courage and Strength For the Future
God put me through a lot of hard times. I hated myself and I though that there was no worth of living in this world. I got to the point where I just wanted to die. But then a tragic event came upon my life and God was leading me through as I was struggling as my grandpa was dying. But when my grandpa died, God gave me the hope that I would be able to reunite with my grandpa in heaven and that leaded me to the Christian that I am today.
Before I got to know Christ, I was bad tempered and I hated life. I didn't think anything was worth living for because of all the things that I was going through.
Before I became a Christian, I was rude to people and I hated my life. I didn't think anything was worth living for. In 2016, my grandpa was in the hospital, very sick. Nobody knew what was wrong with him. I hated myself everyday, knowing that he was going to die sometime soon. And because of that, it just tore me down everyday. I knew that I couldn't do anything about it. So, during that time, I had made a lot of bad decisions such as hurting people and getting into a lot of fights with people I didn't like, thinking that it would help me, but it just made it worse. It made me put myself down more than I already had been.
Then my grandpa had passed away and my grandma had been making me start to go to church on Sundays, and that is when I realized that God had made my grandpa pass away for a reason. God knew he was hurting and suffering from all the pain that he was going through.
Now that I know that my grandpa is in heaven, I have hope that I will again see him sometime soon in a later life.
One time recently this year, there were people in school that were bullying me and putting me down all the time. Each time that happened, God gave me the courage to stand up for my faith and defend him.
Because of all the times that God had put me through, I know that God is always going to be with me and give me hope through all the times that he is going to put me through. I am not afraid of what is going to happen. I know that God is with me and I know that I will be able to meet him and the rest of my family in heaven when I die. And that is what lead me to the Christian I am today. I could never trade anything for the faith that I have right now.
