Handing over my life.
I once was so scared of what others thought of me and wanted to only do what I wanted to do, but through all of my life changes going from the known to the unknown I found my solid rock which is Jesus who is always there.
Before I received Christ I was living to fit into the world, I would fake my Christianity, and I was always worried about what others thought about me. I always thought that my life was my own and that I had to have full control.
I have always been in church, but I have not always had Christ living through me.I started my walk with Christ at a church with many different personalities, well one day that split our church when I was in the fourth grade. Half of our church congregation wanted one pastor while the other half wanted another, which obviously caused conflict and problems. So, after a couple of months of trying to figure out what we were gonna do, we found another church who would share their building with us. We found a church we shared with for a little over a year and a half, but then could no longer share. So, we found a church willing to share us, and through all these moves I was living my life for me, I would put on the church face on Sunday's, because no one really ever taught me about the pure love of God, because everyone was so busy trying to figure things put. We get to our new church they have classes for children, youth, college, singles, all types of people. So me doing whatever I wanted in the 5th grade instead of going with my mom wandered off to my class. Where they told me of an event I was determined to attend, my mom got told about it too so we went. It was there that I truly heard about the pure genuine love of Jesus. How he loves me even when I disobey and through anything that is wrong that I have done. All I had to do was accept into my heart and then change my life to no longer live it for me, but for him. I was no longer living for me, but I was living to help others understand his love just as I had because that was the most relieving thing I had ever felt come over me.
Then we had an event and the speaker spoke about how his life changed with Christ, and that is when the Lord laid his hand on my heart and became the ruler of my life.
Now that I have Christ I live to stand out and do what God has called me to do not what I want to do.
Now after I let Christ rule my life I started that next school year not really caring what people thought of me and only did what would bring honor and glory to God.
Now even more in this day in age, not everyone is Christian and if I am persecuted for loving my Jesus, I am okay with it because I know that I will be with him for eternity.
