Grace’s story: Saved by Gods grace

Before I surrendered to Jesus at my worst I was bound to Addiction, Depression, Hopelessness, and Purposeless.

I remember getting the attention of any man I wanted, but never feeling loved.

Then at my breaking point I cried out to The Lord. Help me. He opened my spiritual eyes, He spoke to me, I surrendered my ways to follow Him, and then Holy Spirit comforted me with love and peace that is beyond what this world can offer that I never experienced before.

Now that I have received salvation and eternal life I know I am loved. The torment in my mind has stopped. And I have a deep joy within me — a joy that the world cannot take away because the world did not give it to me.

Now, I am not controlled by my lust for a man or attention. I know who I am and my value. Though some days are harder than others, I am in love with God. I have joy, peace, hope in my life. Sober and single, hallelujah lol. I can see the beauty in everything unlike before when I was bitter, angry, and annoyed at life and people. I know now that God is working all things together for my good :)

And I am sure that my soul will be with Jesus forever because this is what His word promises us who accept Him (Romans 10:9-10). It is not based on my goodness or my holiness but my salvation is sure because of the perfect sacrifice the Son of God was and it is by His holiness , His perfection, and His sacrifice that I am saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
