Gods Faithfulness

Before I received eternal life I was self- centered.

I was married and had a family and I would spend my weekends or any chance I got out drinking and partying with my "buddies".

I always knew of God but didn't know God. I started learning and listening for myself the word and It was like The word came alive and was speaking to me. All at the same time my choices led me to the end of myself I didn't have no where else to turn and I called on the name of the Lord and Just like it says in Romans 10:13 Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved ! I am very thankful for that word Whoever ! because in John 3:16 it says For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that WHOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life I am very thankful I have that everlasting life today and I'm thankful for Gods mercy I deserved Judgement .but he gave me Grace a free gift all we have to do is receive it.

God gave me a new heart Just like the Bible says in John 3 that we need to be born again When I received enternal life suddenly I had new desires I cared about more than just myself.

All I wanted to do before I received eternal life was Drink,Party, or Sex that pretty much summed up my old desires. When I was born again God gave me a new heart he turned that self-centered man into a Family man not a perfect man but a man that all of the sudden cares about more than himself. From a guy that never cared about God or go to church to a man that all of the sudden could not get enough.

If I was to stand in front of God and he asked me "why should I let you into my Heaven?". I would with confidence know the answer and with confidence know I am going to Heaven, not because of anything I did. It's all about what Jesus did on the cross. The bottom line is I deserved Judgement, I deserved death ,I deserved God to just strike me down with a lighting bolt .Instead Jesus lived a perfect life he didn't deserve Judgement, or Death like I did. He was God in the flesh he came to die on that cross for me and you and he was buried and raised again on the third day. TO give us enternal life to make a way for us to have a relationship with him with the Father to become children of God Ephesians chapter2 :8-9 says we are saved by Grace through faith and that not of yourself it is the gift of God Not of works lest any man should boast So I can say with confidience I'm going to Heaven because I put my Faith in what Jesus did for me Not in my own works to get me to heaven. that's why we can come boldly to the throne because of our Lord !
