God works through the thick and the thin
I came to know Jesus as my personal Lord and savior when I was 6 years old, just because I was raised in the church and that's what everyone did. It wasn't till I got older and starting experiencing life on my own that I realized that God had a good plan for me. It took me denying him, walking the opposite way from him to know that he doesn't deny us like we deny him. God's love is something that never fails and he can turn your good days into bad days. God has called me into full time ministry so I can help other people come to know God' love, the same love he showed me when I turned my back on him.
I am glad that I have eternal life because I have confidence God will love and take care of me forever even when my friends and family may fail me.
When my grandfather passed away, I was very upset and mad at God because I thought he was punishing me. Through the struggles of fighting with God, he taught me that being upset in life is ok, but that he is always there for us. I know that God is on my side, even though life may throw struggles at me.
The same peace, confidence and reassurance that God gave me when I was going through a hard time is the same that Jesus gives me each and every day. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and three days later was raised to life so that we can all be confident that Jesus is greater than any struggle. This is why I am confident in my eternal life in heaven, because God's mercy is unlike anything I have ever experienced. God brings me joy on my bad days and comfort on my sad days, he cares about me and he cares about you.
