God speaks to us in many ways

God has given me the strength to change the destructive influences in my life and the patience, love and understanding to deal with the negative influences thrown in my path.

I remember being invited on a road trip with 6 of my closes friends to check out colleges for after graduation. This trip was going to be a fun trip full of adventure for one full week. We were all close friends and did everything together. This time though something in my gut was telling me not to go. I couldn’t tell you why I had this feeling but I had a strong intuition telling me not to go. One week later on their way back from the road trip there was a terrible accident. One of my friends fell asleep at the wheel and rolled the van they were driving end over end three times. My friends were ejected and one of them was crushed by the van rolling over him. They were in the middle of the dessert and help was over 2 hours way. I made the decision not to go because I had a strong intuition that something was going to happen.

Looking back I now know that god was speaking to me the way he speaks to all of us. Its up to every individual to truly listen and pay close attention to the different ways god communicates with us. From this experience and all future experiences I know god will always be by my side for eternity.
