God Saves My Marriage

Before I had eternal life I was trying to build my life and family on my own power, not doing a great job of it and on the brink of it collapsing.

I did not seem to be able to make my wife happy and there was a sense of stress in our family and marriage. The stress was beating me down.

I prayed and asked God: "God, lift this burden from me and change my heart to love my wife, show me how to make my marriage work." At that moment I felt a physical weight lift from my shoulders and my mind and heart changed. I knew from that moment God was real and He would make a way for our marriage and family to work; all I need to do is realize Christ was my savoir and ask for His help.

My life changed from one of desperation to one of joy, contentment and thankfulness because God is active in my life.

The way God has acted in my marriage and family has constantly been a source of strength for me. When things get tough, I have always been able to find a way through by turning to the Lord. God knew I grew up without a father and being a good father and husband was my strong desire. Now my family is the biggest joy of my life. We have been married 40 years, raised 3 superb children and have 7 grandchildren. Blessing, upon blessing, upon blessing!

I look forward to being in God's presences in heaven when I die and humbly thanking God for seeing me, my broken heart and mercifully guiding me through life.
