God's Mercy and Life Abundant

Before I received eternal life I was living a life of Russian Roulette.

I grew up in church. I sat on a church pew every Sunday, attended Sunday School, participated in the Youth Group, sang in the choir. My head was full of the knowledge of the Gospel, but I ignored it and went my own way. While I was in college, I fell in with the wrong crowd and began living a dangerous life - one that many times could easily have ended with me being in jail or worse - dead.

For years I ignored the truth of the Gospel, but God never gave up on me. And then one day, someone shared Jesus with me again and for the first time, I heard with my heart as well as my head.

When I look back at my life before Christ, it scares me to think of the times that I could have died without Him, and I am so overwhelmingly thankful for His mercy and His protection. It is only by His mercy and grace that I am alive today to share my story with you.

And it is so comforting to me to know that I don't have to worry about dying anymore.

But what I love even more about eternal life is that God says it is "abundant" and it started the minute I trusted Him as my Savior. So, I am living a joyfully abundant, secure, and eternal life right now and it is awesome!
