God Pursues Us

I am so glad to have eternal life with Jesus who offers Peace, Joy and Love so that life can be lived abundantly now and forever.

For as long as I can remember, I had an awareness and a growing understanding of God and Jesus. As I grew up, I developed a desire to know Jesus that, at times was very strong and thrilling, however I allowed my enthusiasm to flow and ebb around the seasons of my life. There have been long periods in my life where I put many other things as higher priority and I did little to nurture my relationship with Christ, only to find that I had grown distant. During personal times of difficulty, God reminded me He is present and I can turn to Him for help. During each of these times I have encountered Jesus and He provided a freshness and joy to my life and perspective that I had not realized was missing. The contrast of living my life in close relationship with Christ is striking. It is because of these times where I realize that God pursues us, wants to be in relationship with us now and eternally and wants to be near us and bless us with renewed life filled with Hope when life seems overwhelming, Joy among life’s hardness and Peace amidst the world’s chaos. In the Bible, Jesus tells us He “came so that we can have life, and have it abundantly”... now and forever.

God loves me so much that He pursues me to be in relationship with me. As I encounter Christ and trust Him alone as my savior, I know he will guide and fill my life on Earth and has purchased a place in Heaven for me.
