Gloria's Personal Testimony

I attended church through my teenage years, even being baptized, but during my working life I concentrated on accumulating worldly things and living a worldly life. However, I knew something was missing. I felt guilty and I often had feelings of insecurity, as well as resentment and jealousy of others.

For example in one of my jobs my husband and I were spending Friday nights at my boss's home eating and drinking too much. In spite of my good relationship with my boss, another woman was promoted above me to office manager. I was so resentful and jealous of her that I treated her very badly and influenced another girl in the office to do the same. This went on for some time until I finally left for another job.

My life totally changed when Jesus came into my life, I know that when I die I'll go to Heaven.

Now my focus is on Jesus Christ, seeking to be more like him, enjoying going to church, studying the Bible, and being with fellow Christians.

I was quite old when my life changed - the date was 12/13/12, and I was 74. I was attending Bible study with some Christian women. I was becoming frustrated that I didn't have the peace they seem to have. My group leader sensed my frustration, invited me for coffee in her home. We read scripture and prayed together. I accepted Jesus a my Savior and Lord that day and my sins were forgiven!

If I died today I know I would go to Heaven and live forever with my Heavenly Father.
