Ghetto Youth transformation

I was born and raised in what we called the ghetto area. My family at that time didn't know Jesus as their personal lord and savior. My father was a Muslim and my mom would from time to time go to church occasionally. At a young age, I remember being invited to Sunday school and from since then I cant remember turning back. Every week I would be present and when I became much older, I can remember going to service with my one outfit, a short pants, an Argentina jersey and my sandals. I wasnt afraid because having knowing about Jesus and what he did for me, I had that confidence that even after death I have abundant life in him. Jesus really transformed my life, I never turned my back despite my family wasnt that rich financially to afford a reasonable lifestyle but I kept on showing up in his presence and choosing not to be like my family who would stay away from church. My earthly father wanted me to become a Muslim but God gave me the strength and the wisdom at a young age to stand up for him. As beautiful as my story may sound, I had my sinful ways, one of which was gambling. I can remember one day I was gambling and this was the same week I was supposed to be baptized and God sent brother Harold to catch me in the act. I was ashamed yes but deep down inside I felt that urge to quit gambling and I did from that day, I didn't get baptized but I didn't let that detour me from being baptized. I recommitted my life to Jesus and was later baptized. Now I can clearly say that my life is never the same, the things I once lacked growing up, God is and has been providing in abundance. I am certain that I have eternal life because it's a gift that was given to me freely by my heavenly father.
