From Wiccan to Witness
Lost and Found
Before I knew The Lord. I had no conviction of my sin, and I had no hope. I was part of The New age movement. Practiced Withcraft and was fooled by the enemy.
I accepted, quite possibly the most important question in life as to why we are here, to be, pick something and it will get you there. New International Version Ephesians 4:14 "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming."
Then God worked through someone for three years, to soften my heart and loved me enough not to give up on me. Jesus is the one thing we can share and give away, without loosing.
I was not living, until Christ came into my life. That night on February 25,2011. Is when my life really began.
I grew up in the midwest. My parents took me to church three times a week. However I was never moved to become a follower. When I was 13, I stopped going to church and started studying as many religions and belief systems I could. At 15 I met a wiccan, and decided that would be my path. At this point, I did not believe in either God or Satan. I delve into Wicca for many years. When I was 27 I started working at a shelter. The same time a volunteer started there, for work study hours. Her name was Pam. I had my pentagram necklace on. She pointed at my necklace and said what's that (of course she knew, but I was unaware at that time). I explained, then she pulled a quarter out of her pocket and said,"Do you want to know what I think of wicca?" I was a little taken back but said okay. She showed me one side of the coin and said,"that's wicca", she then flipped the coin over and said,"that's the occult, yet it's still the same quarter". I could not believe she had just compared my beliefs to the devil, and I didn't even believe in the devil. To myself I thought,"I'll just have to convince her of the truth." But over the next three years, Pam and myself had many conversations about religion, and she was able to answer questions I had about The Bible. Most of my questions in the past had been met with a,"Somethings we aren't meant to know, Susan." Still yet in the back of my mind I thought some of her stories about God guiding her, and seemingly working miraculous things out in her life and others, were crazy. Until one day I was in the break room. I opened the frig and as I was staring inside I thought to myself,"I wish Pam was here." See my day was a little hectic and I needed help. I had no more closed that refrigerator door then the office assistant said, "Susan Pam is on the phone." I picked up and she told me she was down the road and asked if I needed help. I said sure. Pam stayed the rest of the day and helped in the donations area. My day got better. On the way home I thought I had not thanked her. So I called and told her I was grateful for her help. What she told me next, changed my life forever. Pam said, "Susan I don't live 100% like a Christian should, but if The Lord calls me to go be with an unbeliever, I will drop everything and go." At this point I had to pull the car over. What was she saying? I hadn't told a soul what I thought in my head, at the frig. But the God I didn't believe in, heard me? And sent Pam? This flipped my world...right side up... This meant Jesus was Lord, The Bible was true, and all the stories Pam had shared were true? Once home I went to the basement fell to my knees and I spoke to The Lord. I repented and ask Him into my heart, my life. And at the same time I felt conviction and guilt over my unbelief for 30 years. I felt the most overwhelming feeling of love, grace, and forgiveness. I felt Jesus down there on my knees, I met Christ for the first time. That was February 25, 2011, and the best day of my life. Since then my life has been a whirl wind. Jesus is not just my Savior, Redeemer, and King. He is my best friend. I felt alive for the first time in my life. Although I missed out on having Christ in my life for 30 years, I don't want this life or the afterlife, without Him in it. I feel very blessed to be adopted into The Lords family. God is indeed good, all the time. And all the time, God is good.
I have personally seen God work through His people. He pursued me. I had no desire to be a Christian. Yet He loved me(all of us) so much, to go after that one lost sheep. I cannot deny His presence in my life and the lives I see around me.
