From Stone to Flesh
Jesus went from being someone I created to serve my selfish wants and imagined needs to someone worthy of following, even unto my death.
I believed that I was a good father, husband and business owner but actually I was lazy, selfish, and inconsiderate.
My life was about me, despite the fact that I had five children and ten restaurants that required by daily care. Most of my memories from those years were about all the things I did and the stuff I owned. I always found a way to purchase the things I wanted while denying others things they actually needed.
When I finally heard the Gospel, Jesus came into my life and completely changed my thinking. He revealed Himself as my Lord and Savior, His Word as my rule of life and the Holy Spirit as my teacher.
I became more self-aware and focused on others rather than myself.
My life goals changed from growing my business into an empire to becoming a valued servant of Jesus Christ through His church. After my Baptism I got involved in practically everything the church offered and found ways to spend hours studying the Bible and theology according to it.
All of my study and prayer reveals the fact that Jesus' life, death and promises guarantee that I will spend eternity with Him.
