From Orphan to Daughter
Through the Bible, I was rescued from the death I was living in, and I can now enjoy the relationship with the Father that I so desperately needed.
I had a strong feeling of being orphaned, even with my parents alive. I didn't know why I was born, what my purpose in life was, I was very afraid of the future, I didn't care what God thought, I saw no purpose in the life I was living.
There were many family problems in the home I lived in, which reinforced how I felt. It was a Catholic home, but without a real relationship with God. We didn't have the habit of reading the Bible or praying; the greatest influence was occultism.
Until I received a Bible as a gift, I started reading it and it transformed my life.
Through the Bible, the questions that had no answers disappeared because they had nothing left to cling to, all the weight I carried was removed from within me. Through Jesus, God was no longer a distant, inaccessible, unreachable, and indifferent God, but my Father, close, accessible, who loved me so much that He rescued me from orphanhood and gave me a real and intimate relationship with Him.
While reading the Bible, I was overcome with a feeling of responsibility and weight for my actions; I understood the magnitude and gravity of my sins. At that moment, I realized that what God thought had become relevant to me, and I understood what Jesus truly did for me.
When I read John 1:12-14, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God," I had the conviction that I was not an orphan, but a daughter, and I can enjoy this relationship with my Father.
