From Low Self-Esteem to Significance in GOD

Before I received the gift of eternal life I had very low self-esteem.

I remember when I was still in mid-primary school, I hated myself especially my skin color, the fact that I am black. And I told lies to my friends that the reason I was black was because I had smeared myself with Hair-glo, the gel that darkens human hair.

Then I received the gift of eternal life when someone invited me to watch a drama at church.

After receiving eternal life, I found significance in GOD.

I remember when I was now in Secondary School but was still a relatively short boy. One of the big boys in school looked down on me and told me, "Godwin, you will never grow taller than this!" Previously, that statement would have devastated me but now that I had eternal life, I knew that GOD had such wonderful plans for me including increase in height. I was not at all disturbed by the big boy's statement because my significance came from GOD.

I am so glad to know that I have eternal life and that I will go to heaven when I die.
