From "guilt and shame" to "Peace and Joy"
I was living a defeated life under the guilt and shame of my sin which was transformed by God through the power of the work of Christ in my life by the Holy Spirit.
Before I came to faith in Christ I was burdened with guilt a shame and I tried to overcome that by being a good person.
Every time I failed I thought God didnt love me and was angry at me.
My cousin shared with me about heaven and eternal life and that God wanted me to know him and have a relationship with him through his Son.
I now am free from the guilt and shame of my sin because Jesus took that upon himself and paid the penalty of my sin.
I no longer live a defeated life but one of victory and joy.
My trust is no longer in my "good deeds" but im confident in the righteousness of Jesus and His perfect sacrifice for my sin and the redemption through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. Because of this I know without doubt that I have eternal life and will be in heaven when I die!
