from good at being bad to blessed forever

Before I received eternal life, I was really good at being bad, and really bad at being good.

I grew up going to church, but I still thought I had to do enough "good stuff" to make up for all the bad stuff I couldn't seem to stop doing.

Then I came to understand that it wasn't up to me to be good enough, because God forgave all the bad stuff I had ever done. I gave up and gave Him all that bad stuff in exchange for forgiveness, and gave Him control of my life.

Now that I have a relationship with God, I've had the peace and joy of living with Him in my life as my constant companion for over 40 years. I can't imagine life without Him by my side.

In 2019, only 4 months after I got married, I had a heart attack, and found myself lying on a table in an operating room with a camera inside my heart while the doctor showed me images on the computer monitor of the blocked artery. I remember feeling no fear, but complete peace, because if I lived, I would get to continue living with God, and if I died, I would live forever in an even better place with God. It was a win/win situation!

God has given me a wonderful life filled with the peace, joy and blessing of His presence every moment of every day. Above all, I know when life on earth finally ends, I will be in the amazing beauty of God's presence for all eternity.
