From Fear to Peace

Before I received the gift of eternal life, I was afraid of death especially horrible death.

I remember that when I was a child of 10 years old, I began to watch Chinese movies on sword fighting, killings, revenge and war. I can picture how people suffered after being pierced or cut with the sword and died slowly. I can also see the fear of people dying. Those graphic pictures scared me a lot. I also remember that when I went to funeral parlor and saw the dead in the casket, the more I'm afraid that I would die one day or my parents would die and I won't have anybody to take care of me.

Then one night through an evangelistic meeting, a pastor shared to us how we could have eternal life and I wholeheartedly received the gift of eternal life. I am even assured of my eternal after a counsellor explained to me about the assurance of having eternal life after the service.

Now that I have eternal life, I am not afraid of death.

Whenever I go to funeral parlors to see those who passed away or when I watch fighting and war movies, I am not afraid of death anymore but have peace in my heart.

It's great to know that I am assured of eternal life. I know for certain that anytime I die, I'll be in heaven with my Lord!
