Free from self

Having Eternal Life sets me free from the bondage and pressure of people and things around me. It especially sets me free from myself. He has truly made me new. Allowing me to rest assured that I will be with Him in heaven, but also that I can enjoy all that there is here on this earth.

Growing up I was an achiever, always being pushed (with good intention) to try harder and go further, soon I realized that I was doing things for the outside world. Working myself to the bone so that others could find joy in my achievements. But there came a point where I had to decide: Live the good life that I want to enjoy or live a life of pleasing others. Fortunately one of my friends helped me out by showing me the way of Life, true Life. In fact she helped me realize what Eternal Life was all about and that was a turning point for me. Living for Jesus is amazing, I don't work myself into a coma, in fact the peace and rest that comes from allowing Him to work through me has helped me accomplish more than I could in my own strength and the best thing about it is I am enjoying it all.

After seeing the transformation in my life I look at how far I have come and I can say without a doubt that there must be a God, because without him this would not be possible. And if there is a God then there is a gift of Eternal Life and I know that it is mine because I believe that Christ is Lord (and I believe what He has done for me).
